Parties!
Last week was party week. Not only was it the last week of school (enough of a reason right there to party!) but it was also the week of our Farewell Parties. On Wednesday night we honored our graduating seniors and on Thursday night we honored our graduating 8th graders. Click on the links below to see all the pictures. Be sure to check out the Video(s) of The Week down below to see the slide shows shown on each night.
Join us this week as the partying continues! This Wednesday night is our Freshman Welcome Party and Thursday night is our 6th Grade Welcome Party! Be sure to join us!
As if all that was not enough, next week is the party to end them all! Join us on Wednesday night for Summer Celebration! This is our official kick off to summer. Summer Celebration is for both Middle School and High School students. There will be no MS Danger Zone that week.
The fun begins at 6:00 and last until 8:00. The night will include a hot dog BBQ, crazy games, singing, and just a whole lot o' celebrating! To see pictures of last years Summer Celebration click here.

2. SOMETHING FOR YOUR HEART
*Topic:*
When you don't think there's enough provision (money)
*Main Scripture:*
...for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need." (Philippians 4:11-13, NLT)
*Other Scriptures:*
Matthew 6:24-34; Luke 12:15-21; 1 Timothy 6:6-10
*What Might Jesus Say to You?:*
How much money do you need to be happy? Most people tell me it's just a little more than they have right now. The world you live in is filled with pressure to buy, buy, buy. Advertisers try to keep you feeling dissatisfied with what you have and hungry to purchase more of the stuff they push at you. So you continue buying to keep up with what everyone else has. It's a clever trap. The more you get, the less satisfied you are with what you own.
I'm sure you want a job if you don't have one already. You want power and independence so you don't have to feel like you're begging money from your parents. But you can get so wrapped up in earning and spending money that you forget about me. Your work hours may leave you so tired that you can't find time to spend with me--to worship, read my Word, or pray anything beyond quick cries for help.
Break out of the money trap. Put me first. Find your happiness and fulfillment in relationships, not possessions.
People have always been worried about money and stuff. Don't be like the people who ignore God. They take pride in superficial things. But your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well what you need, and he will give it to you as you give him first place in your life. Don't be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of you.
Your fulfillment,
Jesus
*Summary Challenge:*
"No one can serve two masters...You cannot serve both God and Money." (Matthew 6:24)

8. PARTING SHOT
It's not an optical illusion... It just looks like one.
Hippos sleep underwater and rise to the surface to breathe once every six minutes in the same way humans toss and turn in their sleep.
A couple of years back we had a 180 Message Board. Well it is now back! Thanks to the hard work of Stephen Fiddes and Zak Boyle the 180 Message Board has made a return. Click here, register, and join in on the many conversations that are taking place!
guess what?
To sleep, Sea Otters float on their backs in the middle of patches of seaweed, wrapping themselves in the strands to keep from drifting away, their babies going to sleep on the mothers' stomachs.
cool huh?
